Supporting People in Scotland
Supporting People was a grant given to local authorities in Scotland to fund housing support in their area and operated from 2003 - 2008. Supporting People ceased to exist as a funding stream in April 2008 however, housing support still continues across Scotland.
The Housing Support Enabling Unit was established in January 2004 to assist and support independent service providers with the implementation of the Supporting People programme and was originally called the Supporting People Enabling Unit.
