National Strategy for Housing for Older People

The Scottish Government launched its housing strategy for older people on 20th December 2011.  It looks ahead 10 years and recognises the important role which housing support can play in achieving its objectives.  It states, ' our vision for 2021 is that preventative support services will have contributed to a reduction in the need for care homes and emergency admission to hospital, as well as improving people's quality of life'
